Snorkeling & Diving
As diverse and engaging as the landscapes above it, the undersea world is a treasure to behold. Our snorkeling and diving expeditions include some of the most pristine underwater environments in the world, from remote, and never explored before, coral reefs, to Palau and Yap, hailed as the “number one underwater wonder of the world” for its marine diversity and beauty. You might choose a diving expedition in the Seychelles’ Aldabra Atoll (the world’s second largest coral atoll) or a snorkeling adventure over the black-volanic-sand ocean floor near Vanuatu in search of clownfish, soldierfish, and brilliantly-hued wrasses. While in the Galápagos Islands, our snorkeling expeditions bring us within reach of sea lions, tropical and subtropical fish, and possibly even hammerhead sharks. Or, in the Maldives, glimpse whale sharks near the South Ari Atoll or dive down to explore forgotten wrecks near Fesdu.
As with all Zegrahm expeditions, our diving and snorkeling adventure travel excursions are accompanied by expert dive masters and marine biologists, who share their knowledge of the abundant marine life and unique underworld environments we visit. And, what’s more, our diving and snorkeling expeditions through the trip are complimentary for our travelers! All necessary equipment for snorkeling is provided; divers are asked to bring their own gear. Our Mozambique expedition, from Zanzibar to South Africa, is a revelation of the natural and cultural wonders along the eastern coast of Africa. Our cruise through the Mozambique Strait makes for spectacular wildlife travel: we enjoy exceptional marine and bird life viewing and superb snorkeling and diving, with some of the finest reefs and highest concentrations of marine life in East Africa. Aboard the 110-passsenger Clipper Odyssey, we embark from Chennai, en route to Sri Lanka, where our Southern India tour includes three World Heritage Sites. We search for wild elephants on a 4x4 safari at Minneriya Eco Park and seek the 400 bird species found here. In Kochi, our Southern India expedition includes a houseboat tour, lending insight into traditional daily life.

Baliem Valley & Raja Ampat: Cultural & Underwater Adventure
A once-in-a-lifetime adventure, this western New Guinea tour combines the best of land and sea in the Baliem Valley and Raja Ampat. In the Baliem Valley, with its 2,700 species of orchid and 124 endemic plants, we meet the Dani and Lani people, known for their dress of feathers, orchid-fiber fabrics, and boar tusks. Brunei to Bali
Travelers begin this exotic journey in the sultanate of Brunei, a small monarchy encompassing the gleaming, ultra-modern capital city of Bandar and picturesque, ancient villages. Observe gentle orangutans in Sabah and enjoy the traditional hospitality of the Dayak people in Kalimantan. Voyage through the Red Sea
We start our 2012 Red Sea adventure with a two-day Egypt tour where we view the Great Pyramid and the Sphinx, along with several of Alexandria’s impressive monuments. We then explore Byblos and Baalbek, Lebanon. After a daylight transit of the Suez Canal, we resume our Egypt expedition with visits to the Monastery of St. Catherine and Luxor. Then, it’s on to Saudi Arabia, then Sudan, Eritrea, and more, as well as the sublime islands of the Dahlak Archipelago with its migrating seabirds and plethora of marine life.

Palau & Yap
Above and below water, a Micronesia expedition to Palau and Yap offers countless discoveries. The waters of the region teem with more than 1,400 species of fish, rainbow-hued coral reefs and walls, and marine caves. We travel aboard the intimate, 16-passenger Palau Aggressor II, making several expedition stops daily.
