Our Antarctica cruise is a luxury expedition to the spectacular Antarctic Peninsula and Elephant Island, the little-known natural wonderland of South Georgia, and the Falkland Islands. Join our Antarctic adventure as we cruise through this thrilling land of abundant wildlife and icebergs while learning about Sir Ernest Shackleton’s expedition history. Together, our expedition leaders have visited the continent more than 250 times, this level of experience allows us to share the best of Antarctica’s rarely traveled areas.

Reports From The Field

Antarctica, South Georgia & The Falkland Islands

Antarctica, South Georgia & The Falkland Islands
Crabeater seals lay on the ice floes, and all around gentoo penguins porpoised through the waters intent on reaching their breeding sites. Along the cliffs next to the base were nesting Antarctic shags with hungry dark-grey chicks; cape petrels chattered from their ledge nests above us while Antarctic terns dipped their wings as if in an aerial salute. While we observed the natural history in this surreal setting, we were astounded by the many calvings that emanated from the glacier on the south end of the bay.
