Reports From The Field

Islands of Diversity: Bali to Brunei

Islands of Diversity: Bali to Brunei
This afternoon saw us re-positioning to Kakaban Island, home to the Jelly Fish Lake. While we waited for the tide to come in, to give us access to the island, we enjoyed some of the best snorkeling of the whole trip, with a spectacular, vertical wall playing host to a huge variety of fish. Then it was time to venture into the lake to meet three different species of jelly fish. The jelly fish move across the lake at different depths depending on the time of day or night. It was an amazing experience to be in the water with these non-stinging jellies as they pulsated across the lake.
