Marcel Liechtenstein

A native of Costa Rica, Marcel became fascinated in all aspects of tropical and subtropical ecosystems from an early age. In 1989, he started work as a cultural guide and naturalist in Costa Rica and has spent more than 4000 hours in the Rainforest Aerial Tram canopy; observing, photographing,researching, training, and assisting with the children's natural history program. He has traveled widely throughout Central and South America and possesses a broad knowledge of botany, ethnobotany, ornithology, marine ecology and natural history. Marcel has led numerous expeditions to Costa Rica, Panama, Belize, Honduras, and Guatemala and enjoys sharing his passion for the natural world with travelers.
