He has written extensively on security matters, including the books Fire in the East, The Rise of Asian Military Power and the Second Nuclear Age and The Second Nuclear Age (Holt, 2012). He is currently writing a book on Scenario Methods in Global Business. He serves on the Chief of Naval Operations Executive Panel, as well as other advisory groups for the U.S. government.
